This series of oil paintings brings the human presence into the landscape. Along the river, ancient objects are discovered, generations meet, and familiar moments take on a sense of something larger than themselves. These objects and moments tell a Santa Fe story that connect the present to what came before.
The river becomes a constant thread through the work, conveying the feeling of a journey, while the land holds its memories. A mother and daughter dance, a traveler considers what can be seen and what remains unseen, and a figure turns toward us as if carrying a message from another time.
